PFS in Morgantown on April 23rd

Please join us April 23rd at 11:30 A.M. at the Four Horseman Comics & Gaming in Morgantown for #6–18: From Under Ice (a level 1—5 scenario) and #6–06: Hall of the Flesh Eaters (a level 1—5 scenario); bring your dice, bring your miniatures, and bring your character sheet… we hope to see you there!

From Under Ice: Rumors of an ancient settlement and its priceless treasure locked beneath Irrisen’s perpetual ice have reached the Society’s ears. The Pathfinders set out to the Land of the Linnorm Kings with a precious cargo of trade goods to buy their way into the witch-ruled nation, but even approaching Irrisen is fraught with danger. Can the PCs navigate the frozen wastes and recover the relics within, or will the icy climate claim their lives?

Hall of the Flesh Eaters: Shrouded in thick fog, the shifting Gloomspires north of the Shackles have long frustrated explorers. However, a recent discovery by the Pathfinder Society has revealed a brief opportunity to navigate the columns safely and search for the lost treasure of the legendary pirate Sevenfingers. The only problem is that the Pathfinders are not the only visitors to the Gloomspires.

* For Pathfinders who have played with us in Morgantown before, please remember to populate the Morgantown PFS Record on Google Docs so we can plan adventures going forward. PFS in Morgantown on April 9th

Please join us April 9th at 11:30 A.M. at the Four Horseman Comics & Gaming in Morgantown for #6–01: Trial by Machine (a level 1—5 scenario); bring your dice, bring your miniatures, and bring your character sheet… we hope to see you there!

Trial by Machine: More than a millennium has passed since the “machine mage” Karamoss’s failed siege of Absalom, and for years the Pathfinder Society has used upper reaches of his subterranean siege tower as a training ground for initiates. During a routine drill, the once-dormant dungeon springs to life, and it will take all the PCs’ resourcefulness and skill to make it out alive.

A Gift Card For Your Thoughts

The West Virginia Pathfinder Society is looking for data… and you guys are going to provide it.

If you are a Pathfinder in West Virginia, please take a moment to take our Google Survey, which we will use to improve the Society experience across the state.

Those who perform the survey will be eligible for a $10 Amazon Gift Card, to be drawn at the beginning of April (I would say April 1, but nobody would believe me).

PFS in Morgantown on March 26th

Please join us March 26th at 11:30 A.M. at the Four Horseman Comics & Gaming in Morgantown for #7–13: Captive in Crystal (a level 5—9 scenario) and #0-49: Among the Dead (a level 1—7 scenario); bring your dice, bring your miniatures, and bring your character sheet… we hope to see you there!

Captive in Crystal: Recent events have left the Master of Spells Aram Zey unable to fulfill his duties, and without his expertise, the Pathfinder Society struggles to resolve pressing arcane matters. The Decemvirate has reopened the decade-old case of the most qualified replacement: Aram Zey’s predecessor and former Master of Spells Sorrina Westyr, who disappeared while handling a powerful wayfinder that the Society has since kept closely guarded. It is up to the PCs to track down Sorrina Westyr—and bring back whatever remains.

Among the Dead: Several years ago, a Taldan Zyphus cult took over a famous Oppara opera house, murdered a Pathfinder, and turned dozens of Taldor’s wealthiest citizens into the walking dead. The Pathfinder Society has finally tracked down their hideout and sends you to Oppara for one purpose: revenge. Can you face the servants of Golarion’s god of accidents unharmed or will you find yourself among Zyphus’s cursed souls?

* For Pathfinders who have played with us in Morgantown before, please remember to populate the Morgantown PFS Record on Google Docs so we can plan adventures going forward. This document is very out of date, so please add an ‘x’ for played, ‘gm’ for Game Mastered, or ‘x/gm’ if you have done both. Thanks!

You Say It’s Your Birthday?

December 27, 2015 under Announcements, Events
AnniGoblin_small_180

It’s a present for us!

It will be our 4th birthday soon and it’s time for another Anniversary Extravaganza.   It’s time for a present to ourselves.  We will be renting a site on Saturday, February 6, 2016 all day and be filling it with adventure. If you haven’t been to one of these, you’re in for a treat.  We will be offering long form content.  The kind of things we can’t do during our regular scheduled game-days: modules, multi-part scenarios and adventure path segments. These are worth at least an entire level for your character!  If that’s not enough, we will have normal scenarios at the Rifleman the nest day too!  Make your plans and schedule your time off now. We’re going to have seven tables and it will include seeker level content. Bring someone new, bring someone who hasn’t come in a while. We will have room for everyone!

It’s because we’ve moved to a larger, up to date venue which is amazing.  It’s a 58′ x 64′ space for gaming. We will have access to the kitchen area as well. GM’s, we will have two screens that we can display maps and such on. The can be linked to mirror each other or display different images. There are laptops that can be connected to them if you want to just bring their files on flash drives and we have a printer/scanner/copier. If someone  wants to use their own computers the projectors accept VGA and HDMI inputs. We will have the run of a kitchen/eating area as well which brings us to the next part!

We will be dropping the wall and using two of these rooms.

We will be dropping the wall and using two of these rooms.

We’re doing this for ourselves, so please pitch in what you can. Bring food, snacks and drinks to share, or a little extra money to help buy pizza.  (food can be found about 10 minutes away) There’s no admission fee, but if you want to donate toward the site, that’s awesome too.  There will also be prizes to give away. (usually everyone leaves with something) If you have any unused convention boons, or something that you think people would like bring it in. If you can’t contribute any other way, run a game, or help with cleanup. The most important thing to bring however is you. This is a celebration of everyone in our lodge, and if you can read this you are invited. Bring someone new as well; we will have something for everyone.

The schedule is still being finalized, so stay tuned here, if you are dying to run something, let me know right away while there are slots open! We will be opening preregistration for these games due to demand. Announcement will be made when the schedule is finalized.

Now the details:

Schedule:

9:00 AM: Site opens
10:00 AM: Gaming begins!
5:00 PM Break for dinner and raffle
Sometime really late: Cleanup and go home

Location:

Running Right Leadership Academy

Julian, WV 25529

It’s at at mile marker 62 so it’s easy to find and there is a sign on the highway that says Running Right at the exit.

Saturday, August 22nd from 12:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M.

Facebook Event: https://www.facebook.com/events/581241882015176/

Pathfinder Module: Crypt of the Everflame
Game Master: Tim Broadwater
Levels 1–2
— Table 1 —
The young heroes of the town of Kassen are ready for their coming-of-age ceremony, an old tradition in which they retrieve a piece of the eternal flame burning in the tomb of the town’s founder. Yet when they arrive there, they find only the corpses of their fellow townsfolk, dead bandits, and mysterious animated skeletons. The novice heroes must brave the traps and perils of the Crypt of the Everflame, discover the source of the corruption that has awakened an ancient evil, and defeat a menace that seeks vengeance against Kassen and its people.

Pathfinder Society Scenario #5-13: Weapon in the Rift
Game Master: mswbear
Levels 5–9
— Table 2 —
Dire need begets great innovation, and Ghalcor, a cleric of Iomedae, created a revolutionary new weapon to fight the demons that poured out of the Worldwound at the end of the First Mendevian Crusade. Unfortunately, the fiends overwhelmed Ghalcor and his assistants before they could arm and trigger the weapon, but complex fail-safes sealed off Ghalcor’s tower and kept the device from falling into abyssal hands. As the Fifth Mendevian Crusade rages on, Ghalcor’s secret weapon could be the factor that turns the tide, so the Pathfinder Society has agreed to find a way past the indiscriminate safeguards to secure the device for the crusaders—a task complicated by their pushing past enemy lines.

Pathfinder Society Scenario #2-13: Murder on the Throaty Mermaid

Game Master: GothPanda
Levels 1–5
— Table 3 —
While on a routine mission to escort a dignitary to the mysterious Mordant Spire aboard a disreputable smuggler’s ship, the PCs find themselves embroiled in a murder mystery that could jeopardize the Pathfinder Society’s relationship with the isolationist elves who call the citadel home. Can the cunning Pathfinders discover who among the ship’s crew of scum and villains is responsible for the crime in time to clear their own names?

Pathfinder Society Scenario #4-1: Rise of the Goblin Guild
Game Master: Moskau
Levels 1–5
— Table 4 —
When a monster is discovered on the grounds of the Pathfinder Lodge at Heidmarch Manor in Magnimar, an investigation into its appearance leads the PCs deep under the City of Monuments—and face to face with a burgeoning thieves’ guild.

Pathfinder Society Scenario #6-10: The Wounded Wisp
Game Master: Netopalis
Levels 1–2
— Table 5 —
More than 400 years have transpired since the Pathfinder Society began in a humble tavern that has quietly weathered the centuries without incident. When a routine errand there uncovers a clue left behind by one of the founding Pathfinders, it’s up to the PCs to solve a puzzle whose pieces are scattered across Absalom—and whose prize dates back to the Society’s darkest years.

Sunday, August 23rd from 12:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M.

Facebook Event: https://www.facebook.com/events/957235034334726/

Pathfinder Module: Feast of Ravenmoor
Game Master: Tim Broadwater
Levels 2–4
— Table 1 —
When a clerk in the city of Magnimar discovers that, due to a clerical error, the village of Ravenmoor hasn’t paid taxes in years, a tax collector is sent to the distant community to settle accounts with its mayor. When the tax collector fails to return, however, a group of adventurers must travel to the town during its Founders’ Feast celebration to investigate his disappearance. Did he really make off with the taxes for himself, as the villagers suspect? Or did he never make it out of Ravenmoor at all?

Pathfinder Society Scenario #4-13: The Fortress of the Nail
Game Master: mswbear
Levels 5–9
— Table 2 —
The Pathfinder Society sends a team of agents into a Hellknight citadel to free a wrongfully imprisoned ally. Among the law-bound knights, however, they may find that getting out of the prison isn’t as easy as getting in.

Pathfinder Society Scenario #3-18: The Gods’ Market Gamble
Game Master: Netopalis
Levels 1–5
— Table 3 —
Valuable relics of religious natures have been disappearing on their way into Absalom and the Pathfinder Society stands to lose countless irreplaceable artifacts if the cause isn’t found. Amid the bustling markets of the God’s Market in the shadow of the Starstone Cathedral, the Society sets a plan in motion to ensure the parties responsible for the recent thefts are caught and brought to justice.

Pathfinder Society Scenario #5-11: The Library of the Lion
Game Master: GothPanda
Levels 1–5
— Table 4 —
Few societies have so vaunted a tradition of leading crusades as Taldor, yet the constant revisions to its history by scheming factions leaves the truth obscured by countless acts of political modifications. Even the lauded Kitharodian Academy’s texts are riddled with these changes, so when a secretive ally approaches the Pathfinder Society with information about a hidden archive that contains the unaltered histories, the Pathfinders plan a daring infiltration to recover the secrets of Taldor’s past victories so that Mendev might benefit from the discovery.

Pathfinder Society Scenario #3-5: Tide of Twilight
Game Master: Moskau
Levels 1–5
— Table 5 —
In researching a recently recovered druidic lorestone, the Pathfinder Society learns of a powerful artifact with the power to turn men into bestial abominations. Amid claims of increased werewolf activity in the region, the PCs travel into the heart of the Verduran Forest to retrieve the valuable relic from a cabal of evil druids believed to currently hold it.
